Banner Elk, North Carolina is a place that holds so many dear memories for me. It was one of the first places that we took the plunge and travelled together as a family when our kids were really little and we continue to plan trips there annually because everyone loves it so much. It’s beautiful all year round! We go in the winter and in the summer because that’s when it’s convenient from a school perspective, but I have been with my mom in the leaf peeping season and it is spectacular. 🍂 Do not be afraid to book trips back to North Carolina; Highlands residents are some of the most resilient and resourceful people and they have rebuilt from the storm and are awaiting your business.
